Give me some basic information about yourself. Where are you from? Where do/did you go to high school/college? What are some of your main interests and hobbies?
I'm 26 I'm from Memphis Tn born and raised I attended Northside High. My main interest now is fashion and of course my hobby is shopping lol and learning new things and a lil gambling.

 

What was it like starting out as a model? It was actually something that I was toying with at first until I saw the potential that I had it got interesting and fun.

 

How do you prepare for a modeling shoot? I take a hot bubble bath by candle light and just meditate and my drive to the shoot I listen to T.I Motivation on repeat.
 

 

 

 

 

 

Let’s talk about your beauty regimen: How do you keep your hair and skin healthy? With my hair get grow healthy on its on I'm not a hair fan cause I like to keep it short at all times and with my skin I just keep it clean lol

 

Where do you generally shop? I shop every where there isn't a store that I don't shop at lol 

 

What are the fashion trends you love? Tights, skinny legs boots and a cute top u can't go wrong.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Out of all of the photos the photographer took of you, which is your favorite and why?
I would say the picture with me standing up in the purple and turquoise because I felt like we as BIG GIRLS get knock down so much about our size it was a picture of empowerment like I'm a big girl who's BEAUTIFUL and SEXY and there's nothing u can do or say to change that.

 

Every girl has a special “cant live without this" staple in her closet, what’s yours? For me that special thing is music I just love good music especially when it has a great message.

 

Knowing what you know, what advice would you give to models trying to establish themselves? Research have fun with your pictures cause your pictures have to back what you say about yourself most of all LOVE WHO YOU ARE.

 

 

 

 

 

What distinguishes a good model from a bad one? ATTITUDE and PROFESSIONALISM.

 

How has modeling changed other aspects of your life? Modeling has changed my life for the best because no I no longer live in a box of what PLUS SIZE WOMAN CANT DO. 

 

Do you do your own hair and make-up? I will get my hair professionally done and just retouch if I have to I use eyeshadow and color gloss.

Give me some basic information about yourself. Where are you from? Where do/did you go to high school/college? What are some of your main interests and hobbies?

I'm from Brooklyn NY but I'm Spanish and Black, well PuertoRican Cuban and Native American Decent. I went to Parkwest HS in midtown Manhattan, I went to school for culinary so I Love to cook and make people smile lol that's why all of my jobs or hustles were/ are social related 

 

What was it like starting out as a model?

When I first started it was just for fun but I grew to love it! 
How do you prepare for a modeling shoot? Well me I like to meditate a lil, it's funny I'm shy by nature so I need music to loosen me up 

 

Let’s talk about your beauty regimen: How do you keep your hair and skin healthy? I've been eating more healthy and I don't like to put much chemicals in my hair or even my skin so I keep a nice weave with quality Bundle Hair 
Where do you generally shop? I'm an online shopper I love the deals and the fact I can purchase things no one has
 
What are the fashion trends you love? I'm so into boots lol they are very comfortable but I don't follow much trends Because I have a different style. I like to be different. My fave is the fall/winter I love moon boots

Knowing what you know, what advice would you give to models trying to establish themselves? I would say have fun, your pictures come out amazingly better when you enjoy yourself and don't get forced into doing anything you don't want to do 
What distinguishes a good model from a bad one? Your attitude, tardiness, professionalism, laziness and ability to delivery  
 
How has modeling changed other aspects of your life? I've built more confidence within myself and better people skills and my appearance is better lol 

Do you do your own hair and make-up?

Yes I install my own hair and do my make up except when I have a major shoot

Whats your name?  Mztattoogirl

Give me some basic information about yourself. Where are you from?

Portland, or 

 

Where do/did you go to high school/college?

I went to high school at ferndale high 

 

What are some of your main interests and hobbies?

Basketball, art, tattoos. I'm also a freelance makeup artist as well as a model. 
What was it like starting out as a model? I started out when I was 15 in beauty pageants. From there my look changed as did I. 

How do you prepare for a modeling shoot?  Usually the night before I figure out what i need to bring. Prep my skin. Tone it. And make sure i have everything ready for the next day. 

  
Let’s talk about your beauty regimen: How do you keep your hair and skin healthy? I use Dermalogica to clean and tone my skin everynight.  I use the whole line at least 5 products a night.

 

Where do you generally shop?  Hot topic, Nordstrom, victoria secrets, juicy couture, macy's 

What are the fashion trends you love? I have my own style I do not follow what others wear. 

 

Out of all of the photos the photographer took of you, which is your favorite and why? My favorite one is the one of me with a red background backto the camera. I like how calm and peaceful I look. And a lot of my body art shows.

Knowing what you know, what advice would you give to models trying to establish themselves? Keep working at it. Don't mold yourself to society. There is some type of modeling for any type of model. 

 

What distinguishes a good model from a bad one? Be on time. And do not act like a diva. Don't be late and act like you were not wrong. Be humble. 

 

How has modeling changed other aspects of your life? It really hasn't. 

 

Do you do your own hair and make-up?

I went to school for cosmetology so yes I do my own hair and makeup.

Interview With Elisha Milton

Whats your name? Elisha Milton


Where are you from?   I was born in Memphis TN but I spent a lot of time in Charleston S.C.

 

Where do/did you go to high school/college?   I went to east high school up until I went to Job Crops and finished high school online.   

  

What are some of your main interests and hobbies?   Well if I'm not working or modeling I'm a dance mom, not one of those crazy people you see on TV lol just "super" supportive.  

   

 What was it like starting out as a model?   It was and still is hard. I have 3 girls that are use to being by my side were ever I go, so when I have to leave them it breaks all our harts. At the same time I have an amazing support system. 


How do you prepare for a modeling shoot?   I make myself a check list the day before and as I'm getting ready me and my manger check off so I'm always prepared. 

  
Let’s talk about your beauty regimen: 

How do you keep your hair and skin healthy?   Ok so as far as my hair goes, I have been "O" natural for about 4 years(and I love it!) so I just keep it moisturized really well.  If I get extensions put in I make sure that they aren't tight. My skin, I don't drink pops and I wash my face with black soap, shy butter, and hot water.  

 

Do you do your own hair and make-up? Yes I do 
Where do you generally shop?    I never shop in one place I don't like to limit my self to one store, there's so much fashion to wear and see.

What are the fashion trends you love?  I don't really have a "trend" that I love I wear what I feel sexy in but I like the 70 look that's coming back.

Out of all of the photos the photographer took of you, which is your favorite and why?   I have a black and white photo head shoot from my very first shoot that I just love. I was so nervous and it was so hot out side I was sweating and just not feeling sexy at all. But I wanted to do it so bad I pulled it together and did my best and the end work was breath taking. (To me)
 
Every girl has a special “cant live without this" staple in her closet, what’s yours?    OMG my shoes lol like all of them I can't live without my heel's.

Knowing what you know, what advice would you give to models trying to establish themselves?  That everything that glitters it's gold and follow your first mind if it don't feel right nine times out of ten it's not.
What distinguishes a good model from a bad one?   The way you carry your self and the way you treat people around you. Believe it or not the small things matter.

How has modeling changed other aspects of your life?  Um at first I wasn't very social, but now let's just say I'm not the quiet girl in the corner any 

Anything else you'd like to say? Yeah I always say where there's a will there's a way and if you can't see it just pray:)

Interview with Jamaican Thycness

Where are you from? Im from Memphis, TN Where do/did you go to high school/college? I went to Melrose High School Graduate of 2001 What are some of your main interests and hobbies? My hobbies are modeling, dancing, baking, shopping and traveling...... My main interest is modeling

What was it like starting out as a model? It was scary at first because I wasn't sure how people would react to a plus size model. But once I started everyone was very impressed and I received a lot of love and support!!

How do you prepare for a modeling shoot? Well It takes a day to prepare starting with my hair..... Which actually takes 3hrs to do!! (Tragic lol) I try not to use too much make up cause I believe in the natural look. After I finish my outfits are picked by me and I usually design my own...... I wanna be comfortable when I'm shooting so its better to go with your own.

Let’s talk about your beauty regimen: How do you keep your hair and skin healthy? Well I wash and twist my locs every 3 weeks. I looooooove my locs they say so much about me!! I use black soap and shea butter to keep my skin nice and healthy. And of course I gotta take those vitamin A,B,C,and D!!

Where do you generally shop? My favorite stores are Ashley Stewart, Dots, and of course my online shopping gotta love it!!
What are the fashion trends you love? Oh yes I love everything!!! There isnt anything in particular!! I will try everything!!!

Out of all of the photos the photographer took of you, which is your favorite and why? My favorite is the one with the Jamaican Flag because I love representing my culture. I was born in Kingston Jamaica. I moved to Memphis Tn with my mom when I was 5 but I will never forget where I came from.

Every girl has a special “cant live without this" staple in her closet, what’s yours? My cant live without is my stilettos!! I gotta have my shoes!!!

Knowing what you know, what advice would you give to models trying to establish themselves? Stay focused, Stay positive, Never give up if this is your dream.

What distinguishes a good model from a bad one? Attitude!! If your attitude is nasty I swear the photographer picks up on it and will refuse to work with you.

How has modeling changed other aspects of your life? Knowing that I am indeed a trendsetter!! I give hope to other Plus Size women who want to do what i do. I love the fact that women look up to me and they admire me for pursuing my dreams

Do you do your own hair and make-up? Sometimes I do..... But I usually prefer a professional.

Anything else you'd like to say? To all my Plus Size women never allow any one to tell you you cant do something because of your size!! We can do anything we want to do as long as we believe in ourselves!! If you have a dream go for it!! Never let anyone stand in your way!!!

Interview With Trina Starz

Give me some basic information about yourself. Where are you from? Where do/did you go to high school/college? What are some of your main interests and hobbies? I'm Detroit MI my hobbies are reading and my interest is getting money

What was it like starting out as a model?

It was actually an interesting experience I learned a lot about this business from first hand experience

How do you prepare for a modeling shoot?

I usually just get my bags packed with whatever look that I'm going for as far as the shoot then I call my photographer and make up artist a few hrs before the shoot to confirm everything and I don't eat until after I shoot.

Let’s talk about your beauty regimen: How do you keep your hair and skin healthy? I take a multivitamin and I drink 8 glasses of water a day

Where do you generally shop?

I shop online for whatever I want since I'm soo busy all the time


What are the fashion trends you love? I really don't follow trends I typically just do me and it seems to work out most of the times

Out of all of the photos the photographer took of you, which is your favorite and why? My favorite photographer would have to be Wayne Grace I just love the way we collaborate together on a lot of my photo shoots plus he always make me look good

Knowing what you know, what advice would you give to models trying to establish themselves?  Networking is everything sometimes knowing the right people can get you to the next level

What distinguishes a good model from a bad one? I don't think it's no such thing as a bad model I just think they just might be clueless to what they don't know that's making them bad

How has modeling changed other aspects of your life? Yes it has made very cautious of keeping my personal life private

No I pay for everything so I know it will look right
